What Does this blood Test Result Mean?

I had a CMV viral blood test last week and received the results as follow CMV Ab,lgm 8.0 Ebv Ab Vca ,lgm 0.2 CMV Ab lgg32.1 and am very symptomatic. I have had 2 kidney transplant 1 in 1992 and 1 in 2009. I was CMV positive before my first transplant. I of course will follow up with my nephrologist later today. Hi welcome to health care magic...

You are having cytomegalovirus infection...

Here following transplantation chances of CMV spread high ..So you might be positive ...

The main questions you have to ask to nephrologist is regarding treatment ..
CMV immuneglobulin and gancyclovir are main mode of therapy.

So duration of treatment and relative prognosis has to be asked to doctor..

Take care

Advise : Consult nephrologist on fixed appointment date
